Terms of Service
Last updated 19 September 2026
These terms govern your use of Super Editor, including supereditor.app, the Super Editor web app and any paid plan (the “Service”). Super Editor is operated by Akbar Ali, a sole proprietor based in India (“we”, “us”). By creating an account, joining the waitlist or subscribing, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Super Editor is an AI-assisted video editor. You upload footage, the Service transcribes and describes it, and you can edit it by hand or by asking the built-in assistant, then export the result. Features may change as we improve the product, and some features may be labelled beta.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
3. Payments and subscriptions
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle’s Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase.
- Billing: paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- Taxes: prices may exclude sales tax or VAT, which Paddle calculates and collects at checkout based on your location.
- Cancellation: you can cancel at any time from your account or through the link in your Paddle receipt. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Refunds: payments are non-refundable and we do not give refunds or credits for partial periods, unused time or unused features, except where required by law or where Paddle grants a refund under its Buyer Terms. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days; by starting to use the Service during that period you ask us to begin providing it immediately and acknowledge that you may lose that right once the Service has been fully provided.
- Founding member prices: people who joined the waitlist before public launch can subscribe at the founding prices shown on our pricing page (Pro $17/month or Studio $49/month for the first 12 monthly payments, or $168 / $504 for the first yearly payment). The offer is sent as a single-use code to the email address on the waitlist, is valid for 30 days after your invite, cannot be combined with other offers and has no cash value. After that period, the standard price applies.
- Price changes: we will give you at least 30 days’ notice of a price change. The new price applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then if you do not want to continue.
- Failed payments: if a payment fails, we may pause or downgrade your account until it is resolved.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to the footage, audio, text and other material you upload, and to the videos you export (“Your Content”). You give us a limited, worldwide licence to store, copy, process and transform Your Content only as needed to provide the Service to you, including sending it to our AI and infrastructure providers as described in our Privacy Policy. This licence ends when you delete Your Content or close your account, except for copies we must keep by law.
You confirm that you have all the rights and permissions needed for Your Content, including consent from people who appear in it, and that using it with the Service does not infringe anyone’s rights. We do not use Your Content to train AI models.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- upload or create content that is illegal, infringes intellectual property or privacy rights, or sexually exploits minors;
- harass, defame or deceive people, including creating misleading deepfakes of real people;
- attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer or get unauthorised access to the Service or its systems;
- resell or share access to the Service except as your plan allows.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
6. AI output
The assistant, transcripts and frame descriptions are generated automatically and can be incomplete or wrong. You are responsible for reviewing edits and exports before you publish or rely on them.
7. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design and branding, belongs to us and our licensors. These terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while your account is in good standing; they do not transfer any ownership to you. If you send us feedback, we may use it without any obligation to you.
8. Termination
You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the Service. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and a chance to export Your Content first. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will refund any prepaid period you have not yet used.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own copies of important footage.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes we will notify you by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can cancel.
12. General
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live or your right to bring a claim there. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Paddle’s Buyer Terms, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms: support@supereditor.app. Billing and refund requests can also go to Paddle via your receipt email.
